The result? Five Dollar T-Shirts. That’s right: Between now and November 29th, you can get a piece of official Uncle Leon and the Alibis merchandise for just five bucks. Sizes vary, and quantities are limited to whatever we’ve got left. But if you’ve always wanted to own an Uncle Leon t-shirt—or you spilled beer on that old one—here’s your big chance.
And remember: Uncle Leon T-shirts make a great (and super cheap) gift for that special rollergirl, obscure music fan, and/or worthless drunk in your life.
The rumors are true!
The ceremony was performed on the stage of the legendary dive bar and music venue White Water Tavern, located in Ashlie’s hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas. The event was catered by Whole Hog Barbecue and, according to one eyewitness, featured “a whole lot of booze”.
Not content to throw themselves just one party, the couple proceeded to hold another reception the following weekend, at Brooklyn’s Hank’s Saloon—the birthplace of Uncle Leon and the Alibis, as well as the setting for the band’s “Wild Ways” video and, allegedly, the place where Ashlie first gave Leon her phone number.
The severely hungover couple were last spotted stumbling onto an airplane at JFK, and are currently assumed to be enjoying their honeymoon “somewhere in Europe”.
